UPS second label

Learn why Zonos adds a second label to some UPS shipments.

In some countries, even if the duty and tax is set to be billed to Zonos under the landed cost guarantee, the carrier will try to collect duty and tax from the consignee. This results in a frustrating shopper experience which can impact customer lifetime value. To combat this, we have started appending a second label to the shipping label that is created via Dashboard or API.

The language displayed on the label will change based on the destination country.

Configuring second label for different countries

Follow the steps below to enable the second label for a country or list of countries.

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Shipping.
  2. Click Labels.
  3. Scroll to carriers.
  4. Click Enable second label.
  5. Check the boxes next to each country that you want the second label to appear for.
  6. Click Save.
