Greet your international shoppers in their languageLearn how Hello is translated into different languages.
Part of offering a first-class localized shopping experience is being able to greet your shoppers in their language. Hello is translated into 20 languages to allow you to greet customers in their native language in the most common countries we see shoppers arrive from. Any custom messages you have set up to display in Hello also have the option of being translated to match. Note that Hello's translation only applies to the Hello widget and not the rest of your storefront.
Hello allows shoppers to select from any of our supported languages by default. Hello will determine the shopper's preferred language from their browser settings. If you want to adjust this behavior, perhaps because you only have support available in specific languages, you can do so from within Dashboard.
- Go to Dashboard -> Settings.
- Under the Checkout section, select Languages.
- Select or deselect which languages you want to be enabled in Hello.
- Once satisfied with your changes, click Save.
- Changes will reflect automatically across Hello and Checkout.
