Checkout for Wix

Integrate Checkout with your Wix store.

Before integrating Zonos Checkout with your site, please make sure you are familiar with how it works:

  • International shoppers will be redirected to the Zonos Checkout page using Zonos Hello's geolocation. However, due to Wix code limitations, the Hello flag will not show.
  • Within Zonos Checkout, your customers will benefit from localized payments, currency conversion, item restrictions, and more.
  • Zonos will power international payment processing, which includes our fraud protection.
  • International orders will appear in both Dashboard and the Wix interface.
  • Order status and tracking numbers will sync from Dashboard to Wix, not from Wix to Dashboard.
  • Domestic shoppers will not be redirected to the Zonos Checkout; they will continue to use the native Wix checkout.

Integrate

Follow these steps to integrate Checkout with your Wix store.

1

Contact a Sales Representative

Please reach out to us for information on how to get started. Once we have an agreement, you can begin the installation process.

2

Create a Zonos account

  1. Register for a Dashboard account.
  2. After registering, complete your account setup.
3

Install the Checkout block

Your Project Manager will handle the installation for you during the onboarding process. The block cannot be installed on your own. To allow Zonos to install on your behalf, please set up admin access for Zonos to makes changes to your Wix site.

4

Add product information

Product weights can be stored in either Wix or Catalog (if entered in both places, Zonos will use the weight from Catalog for calculations). Wix does not store product information like HS codes, country of origin, and dimensions natively, so this will need to be saved in Catalog. If this information varies by product or dimensional weight is a concern, save it in Catalog.

5

Styling

Optional—Zonos will install two international cart pages (one cart page for mobile and one for desktop) and a confirmation page on your site.

  • International cart pages: The background of the international cart page will default to white. To update the background color to match your branding, go to Edit sitePages and menuStore pagesCart page. Scroll down until you see the two international checkout cart pages and adjust as desired.

Please do not delete any elements on these pages without consulting with your Zonos Project Manager.

  • International confirmation page: To edit the default order confirmation page that will be shown to international shoppers, go to Edit sitePages and menuSite MenuCheckout complete and update as desired.

Frequently asked questions

How can I verify the correct store ID and API key are being used in the Wix block?

These credentials are entered by Zonos when installing the app. To confirm these credentials are correct:

  1. In the Wix dashboard, go to Developer toolsSecrets manager.
  2. Confirm the Store ID in Wix matches your Zonos account number in DashboardSettingsIntegrations.
  3. Confirm the API key in Wix matches your Rest API key in DashboardSettingsIntegrations.

While Zonos can generate quotes with very little product information, providing additional details enhances the accuracy of our calculations. However, due to constraints in retrieving data from the Wix platform, Zonos may not receive certain information due to platform availability.

Zonos recommends providing the key product details listed below to improve accuracy, identifying which details Wix can pass versus what needs to be mapped or added to Zonos Catalog.

  • Weights - Received from Wix.
  • Dimensions - Not received, needs to be added with Catalog.
  • HS codes - Not received, needs to be added with Catalog.
  • Country of origin - Not received, needs to be added with Catalog.
