Shopper tax IDs

Certain destination countries require the shopper tax ID to be included on shipping documents to ensure smooth customs clearance. For merchants using Zonos Checkout or our Shopify app, Zonos collects these tax IDs during checkout and automatically applies them to the shipping documents. This facilitates quicker customs processing for the following countries:

• Brazil: CPF
• South Korea: PCCC
• Mexico: RFC
• Argentina: CUIL (Only supported on Zonos Checkout)

Add shopper tax IDs to an order 

Shopper tax IDs provided at checkout appear under Shopper Tax ID in the order details. If creating an order manually, you can add the tax ID in Dashboard on the order details page or during label creation.

Add the shopper tax ID on the order details page

1. Log in to Dashboard and navigate to Orders -> All orders.
2. Select the order you want to update.
3. On the far right of the page under the Properties section, click Edit to update the "Ship to" information.
4. Enter the tax ID in the shopper tax ID field, which will be named after the ship-to country's specific tax ID, e.g. Mexico: RFC.

Add the shopper tax ID during label creation

1. Log in to Dashboard and navigate to Orders -> All orders.
2. Select the order you want to update.
3. Click Create label.
4. Scroll to Additional options at the bottom of the page.
5. Enter the tax ID in the Shopper tax ID field.
6. Complete the label creation process.
