Explore how Checkout handles restricted items.

Zonos Checkout supports preventing the sale of restricted items to specific countries via your Catalog.

Restricted item behavior 

Whenever there is a change in the country in the address form, Checkout will verify if there are any item restrictions. If a restricted item is found in the cart, the customer will be informed that the item cannot be shipped to their country and it will be removed from the cart. If the cart contains multiple items and only some are restricted, the total payment amount—including shipping and total landed costs—will be recalculated to exclude the restricted items.

If all items in the cart are restricted, Checkout will not be able to provide shipping rates or landed cost information. In such instances, the customer will be informed that the items are restricted in their country and the purchase cannot proceed.
