Learn what information Checkout collects for each country.

Certain destination countries require additional information from the shopper in order for their shipment to clear customs. Zonos Checkout recognizes when the following information may be needed and includes additional fields to collect it from the shopper during checkout. This allows you to have the information needed for a seamless delivery to your customer.

EORI number

Because of ICS2, B2B shoppers in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, and Northern Ireland (part of the UK) need to provide their EORI number in order for customs to allow their shipment to be delivered.

If you use Checkout, your B2B shopper will be prompted to enter their EORI number during the checkout process if they live in a country in which ICS2 requires their EORI. They can enter their EORI number just below their payment details.

When they complete their order, their EORI number will be passed to the Recipient EORI number field in the label creation page, where it can be edited if needed.

Once the label is created, the EORI number will be sent electronically. It will not appear on the label or commercial invoice.

Brazilian CPF/CNPJ numbers

If you use Checkout, your shopper will be prompted to enter their CPF or CNPJ number during the checkout process if they live in Brazil. They can enter their CPF or CNPJ number just below their payment details.

  • Informal entry: CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas/Natural Persons Register) tax ID number, which is a personal tax ID number.

  • Formal entry: CNPJ (Cadastro Nacional da Pessoa Jurídica or the National Registry of Legal Entities) tax ID number, which is a business tax ID number.

Once the label is created, the CPF/CNPJ number will be sent electronically. It will not appear on the label or commercial invoice.

More information is available in our country guide for Brazil.

Chinese tax ID number

If you use Checkout, your shopper will be prompted to enter their tax ID number during the checkout process if they live China. They can enter their Chinese tax ID number just below their payment details.

Once the label is created, the Chinese tax ID number will be sent electronically. It will not appear on the label or commercial invoice.

More information is available in our country guide for China.
