Test your integration
Follow the steps below to test your Hello integration:
The first step in testing Hello is ensuring that when international shoppers arrive on your site, Hello correctly greets them in their local language and currency. To test this:
- Visit your website in a browser.
- If you have a VPN, you can use it to simulate visiting from another country. Otherwise, you can add
?zCountry=DE
to the end of your URL to tell Hello to treat you as a shopper from Germany. You can replaceDE
with any country code that you want to test. - If Hello is correctly configured, you will see the widget show up where you have placed it on your site, and it should greet you in the language and currency of the country you are testing.
Enable debug mode
While you are testing, you may find it useful to enable debug mode on Hello, enabling richer logging and error messages to help you diagnose any issues you encounter. To enable debug mode, add ?zonosDebug=true
to the end of your URL when testing. If you are already using the ?zCountry=XX
parameter, you can add &zonosDebug=true
instead.
If you are working with Zonos Support on any Hello related issues, having debug mode on when you take screenshots of the browser console can be extremely useful in diagnosing issues.
