Pay during transit — not at the doorstep
No more surprises at delivery. No more refused packages. Settle duties and taxes before your shipment arrives, with the payment methods you already use.
What is Zonos Collect?
Zonos Collect is a payment service for international shipments. Retailers and carriers use it to collect customs duty and tax from recipients before delivery — so your package isn't held at the border, refused at the door, or returned to the sender. The notification you received is part of that process.
Why did I receive a duty payment notification?
Customs authorities in most countries charge duty and/or tax on goods imported from overseas. When you ordered from an international retailer or your shipment is crossing a border, those charges apply. Your retailer or carrier uses Zonos to collect that payment from you before the package can be delivered.
How do I pay?
Open the email or push notification you received and click the secure payment link. You'll see the exact duty and tax amount, choose your payment method, and complete payment. Once it goes through, your shipment can resume its journey to you.
What payment methods can I use?
Zonos Collect supports credit and debit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, iDEAL, Bancontact, EPS, and more. Available methods are matched to what works in your country, so you'll see options you recognize.
What happens if I don't pay?
If duty and tax aren't paid within the timeframe shown in your notification, your shipment can't clear customs and will eventually be returned to the sender. To avoid that, pay using the secure link before the deadline shown in your notification.
Got an email to pay duty before your shipment arrives?
If you received a message from Zonos, your international package has reached customs and has duty or tax due before it can be delivered. The store or carrier you ordered from uses Zonos Collect to handle this — so instead of a surprise bill at your door, you get a clear breakdown and a secure link to pay in seconds. Once it's paid, your shipment continues on its way.
