Connect your Zonos Account Key to the system you use to print Canada Post
labels.
Once your billing method is approved, your Zonos Account Key becomes available in your Dashboard. Adding this key to Snap Ship, Shipping Manager, API integrations, or ShipStation connects your Verified Account so duties can be validated and your U.S.-bound labels can be issued without delay.
These steps vary depending on the system you use, but the purpose is the same: link your Zonos Verified Account to the tool you use to generate Canada Post labels.
Once your account is approved and you’ve added a payment method, you’ll receive a Zonos Account Key. This key must be added to your Canada Post account preferences.

Log in to your Canada Post Snap Ship/Shipping Manager account.
Navigate to Shipping → Shipping Tool → Account preferences.
Paste your Zonos Account Key into the automatic billing option field and click Save.
Once added, anytime you create a U.S.-bound shipment under $800 USD, select: Method of U.S. duties payment → Automatic billing (Zonos account key)
This ensures Canada Post knows duties are covered so your label can be issued.
Zonos will bill you for duties once shipment data is received from Canada Post.
Troubleshooting: Invalid Account Key
If you see an “account key invalid” error, you may not have a business profile set up.
To fix this:
Scroll further down on the same Canada Post settings page.
Click Add business profile.
Complete the setup and re-enter your Account Key.
