Cartonization 설정

Product dimension과 box size를 설정하여 shipping quote를 최적화하고 3D packing visualization을 사용하세요.

Setting up cartonization is essential for an optimized shipping experience, helping to ensure accurate shipping quotes and efficient packaging. With proper setup, you'll also gain access to 3D cartonization visualization that shows exactly how items pack into boxes, giving you transparency into the cartonization process and insights to optimize your packaging strategy.

시작하려면 box weight와 maximum weight capacity를 포함한 product 및 shipping box dimension을 제공하세요. 이 정보로 cartonization이 품목을 box에 정확하고 효율적으로 계산하고 pack할 수 있습니다.

Cartonization 설정의 첫 단계는 품목이 단독 shipping되는지 등 product dimension과 packing preference를 Zonos Catalog에 추가하는 것입니다.

Tip: Complete product dimensions unlock the 3D cartonization display, which helps you visualize packing efficiency and identify opportunities to optimize your box options.

품목을 하나씩 추가하려면:

  1. Dashboard -> Catalog로 이동하고 오른쪽 상단 Add product를 클릭합니다.
  2. SKU 및/또는 product ID(필수)와 product Dimensional unit, Length, Width, Height, Weight unit, Max weight, Package weight를 추가합니다.

    Note: 품목이 단독 shipping되면 Ships alone 체크박스를 선택합니다.

  3. Save product를 클릭합니다.

CSV로 품목을 일괄 추가하려면:

  1. Download the Catalog CSV template.
  2. Zonos CSV template에 SKU 및/또는 product ID와 product dimensional unit, length, width, height, weight unit, max weight를 추가합니다.

    Note: 품목이 단독 shipping되면 Packing preference column에 ships_alone 값을 추가합니다.

  3. File을 CSV로 저장합니다.
  4. Dashboard -> Catalog -> Import products로 이동하고 file을 drag and drop하거나 browse를 클릭하여 file을 찾아 선택합니다.
  5. Follow the prompts to review your uploaded products and correct fields if there are any errors. To ensure the correct formatting and successful import of your products, follow the required formatting shown in this table.
  6. Import를 클릭합니다.

CSV fields descriptions

Column↕Description↕
Box nameThe name of your box for referencing.
Weight unitThe box's weight unit. Valid values are gram, kilogram, pound, and ounce. If a unit is not provided, the value will default to pound.
Max weightThe box's maximum weight capacity.
Package weightThe weight of the packaging materials.
Dimensional unitThe product's dimensional unit. Valid values are inch, foot, yard, millimeter, centimeter, and meter. If a unit is not provided, the value will default to inch.
LengthThe length of the box.
WidthThe width of the box.
HeightThe height of the box.

품목에 여러 box가 할당되면 Zonos는 할당된 모든 box의 weight와 dimension을 사용하여 shipping quote를 정확히 계산합니다.

여러 box에 shipping하는 품목을 설정하려면:

  1. Input your item dimensions into Catalog (see steps above).
  2. Download and open the spreadsheet Multibox CSV template.
  3. Master Spreadsheet tab에 여러 box에 shipping하는 품목의 모든 product SKU 및/또는 product ID를 포함합니다.
  4. Child Packages tab에서 각 SKU와 해당 box를 나열합니다. 각 box는 별도 row에 나열합니다. 예: SKU1이 두 box에 shipping되면 SKU1을 두 row에 각각 box name과 shipping box dimension과 함께 나열합니다. SKU2가 세 box에 shipping되면 세 row에 각 box name과 dimension을 포함하여 나열합니다.
  5. Onboarding 중이면 완성된 sheet를 Project Manager에게, 이미 Zonos를 사용 중이면 support@zonos.com으로 보냅니다.

Cartonization 설정의 마지막 단계는 packaging option을 생성하는 것입니다. 특정 packaging option이 정의되지 않으면 기본 size 8x4x2가 적용됩니다.

Tip: The more box options you configure, the more efficiently cartonization can pack items. The 3D visualization helps you see which box sizes are used most frequently and identify gaps in your packaging strategy.

To add a box:

  1. Add your shipping boxes by going to Dashboard -> Settings -> Cartonization.
  2. Click Add box in the top right corner.
  3. Add your box's Dimensional unit, Length, Width, Height, Weight unit, Max weight, and Package weight.
  4. Optional— Name your box. If you don't, we'll name it based on its characteristics.
  5. Optional—Mark your box as your default box by checking the Make default box size box.

    Note: Default boxes are used as a fallback when no box size is applied to the order.

  6. Click Add box.

To add boxes in bulk via CSV:

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Cartonization.
  2. Click Add box in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Download the cartonization CSV template and enter your box names, maximum weight, package weight, and dimensions in the designated fields. Once completed, save the file in CSV format.
  4. Upload your new CSV file to cartonization by dragging and dropping or by clicking browse to locate and select the file.
  5. Click Continue and view your newly added boxes.

Cushioning(foam, bubble wrap, void fill 등)을 사용하면 box 내부 사용 가능 공간이 outer dimension보다 작습니다. Inner dimension을 설정하면 carrier rate quote에 영향을 주지 않고 cartonization에 실제 fit space를 알려줍니다. 정확한 cartonization(outer dim 기준 over-pack)과 정확한 rate quote(inner dim을 outer 대신 사용 시 과소 표시) 간 trade-off를 피합니다.

Box에서 Use inner dimensions for cartonization fit 토글을 활성화하면:

  • Cartonization fit-checking은 inner dimension을 사용하여 각 품목을 담을 box를 결정합니다.
  • Carrier rate quotes는 outer dimension을 계속 사용하여 rate 정확도가 유지됩니다.
  • 토글이 활성화되면 각 inner dimension은 해당 outer dimension보다 작아야 합니다.
  • 토글이 꺼져 있어도 inner dimension 값은 보존되어 cushioning estimate를 다시 입력하지 않고 반복할 수 있습니다.

Box에 inner dimension을 추가하려면:

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Cartonization.
  2. Add box를 클릭하여 새 box를 만들거나 기존 box를 클릭하여 편집합니다.
  3. Inner dimensions (optional) 아래 Use inner dimensions for cartonization fit을 선택합니다.
  4. Box inner Length, Width, Height를 입력합니다. 각각 해당 outer dimension보다 작아야 합니다.
  5. Add box 또는 Save box changes를 클릭합니다.

Note: Custom box와 carrier-preset box(FedEx, UPS, DHL) 모두 inner dimension을 구성할 수 있습니다. Carrier box의 outer dimension은 carrier spec에 고정되지만 내부 cushioning은 귀하가 정의합니다.
