5. Get your products into Zonos
Your Catalog is where the extra U.S. information for each product lives, so you provide it once and it travels with every shipment. There are two ways to build it:
Connect your store with Zonos Sync. Your products and orders sync automatically, keeping your Catalog current as your store changes. Etsy, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce (Magento), Wix, and Amazon are ready, with BigCommerce coming soon and more after that. See channel integrations for how each one connects.
Upload a CSV. This works for any platform, and is the route to take if a connection to your store isn't available yet.
To connect a store, go to Dashboard → Catalog, click Add channel, and select your platform. If your platform isn't listed yet, choose Upload a CSV instead.
Starting with a CSV is not wasted work—products you upload keep their details if you connect a store later.
Either way, Zonos then knows what you sell and can flag the items that need more information before they can be shipped to the U.S.
When the product ID has to match. CTT Correios de Portugal passes the product ID with each shipment, and that is what ties the parcel back to your Catalog. The product ID you send has to match the product ID on the item in your Catalog exactly. If the two differ, Zonos cannot make the connection, and the shipment is treated as though the data was never provided.
6. Add your Zonos Account Key to your CTT Correios de Portugal shipments
One entry connects the Catalog you just built to the parcels you send. You provide it on the CTT Correios de Portugal side, not in Zonos.
This step is not available yet
Zonos will email you once you can complete it.
Copy your Account Key from your Zonos account.
Add it to Área de Cliente CTT Empresas in your CTT Correios de Portugal account.
Important: Your Account Key is what tells CTT Correios de Portugal which catalog of goods holds your product information. Without it, CTT Correios de Portugal has no way to match your shipments to what you have provided, and your product data will not be applied.
Your CTT Correios de Portugal Verified Account is not used for billing
There is no subscription fee, and Zonos does not bill you for duties or clearance fees through it. For CTT Correios de Portugal shippers, the Verified Account exists to hold your product data.
Verified Accounts for some other postal operators do handle duty billing, because that is what those operators wanted. If you come across billing guidance written for another post, it does not apply to you.
Setting up the account and syncing your products is the start of the work, not the end. Zonos checks each product against U.S. entry requirements and flags the ones that need more information—see Add required product data.
