Send order notifications

Customize which emails Checkout sends shoppers.


Zonos can send email notifications to your shoppers on your behalf for various events, such as providing order confirmations, tracking updates, and more. To enable this feature, you must verify the email address you want Zonos to use to send emails.

Enable/disable email notifications 

By default, Zonos will send order notifications for all orders. You can customize which emails are sent by:

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Settings.
  2. Under the Checkout section, click Order notifications.
  3. Enable or disable the toggles next to each email type you wish to send.
  4. Optional—If you want copies of each email sent to your team members, enter their email addresses in the Send a copy to field.
  5. Click Save.

Customize email design 

You can customize emails sent by Zonos to match your brand by modifying your theme settings in Dashboard.

Verify email address 

When Zonos Checkout sends order emails to your shoppers, it uses the email address you provide in the Email field on the Store settings page. This allows any order notifications sent on behalf of your store to look authoritative and cohesive with your brand.

To verify your email:

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Settings.
  2. Under the Account section, click on General.
  3. At the bottom of the page, under the Email section, enter the email address you want to use for order notifications.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You will then receive an authorization email from AWS. You will be prompted to verify your email by clicking a link to authorize using this email address.

    Note: You will have 24 hours after the email has been sent to verify the email on file. If you miss this deadline, you must start the process again.

Types of order notifications 

  • Order placed/receipt
  • Order cancelled
  • Order refunded
  • Order shipped/tracking updates
