Custom shipping rates

Set up custom rates for a service level

Custom shipping options include free shipping, flat-rate shipping, tiered shipping, or other custom shipping rules for each service level you have created. Shipping rules can be based on cart price or weight and can be country-dependent.

Add flat rates to a service level

Establish flat rates with ranges that set the parameters for activating the flat rate and showing the correct shipping methods based on that rate. In addition to flat rates, you can create free shipping options for a service level, or tiers of pricing based on weights or cart subtotals. Understanding how these ranges function and which values they include is crucial to ensuring that the system returns the intended shipping rates. Definitions and examples created for a service level when shipping to Canada:

Greater than: The greater than option is not the same as "greater than or equal to." Entering “greater than 50 USD” really means 50.01 USD and greater.

Example- How to set the rule that 5 USD shipping will be charged on order subtotals of 499 USD and up:

Less than: On the other hand, the less than option is the same as "less than or equal to." Entering “less than 50 USD” means 50 USD and less.

Example- How to set the rule that 20.00 shipping will be charged on order subtotals of 100 USD and less:

Between: Similarly, the between option does not include both of the two figures at the beginning and end of the given range. The first number in the range is not included, but the second is. Entering "between 100 USD and 199.99 USD" actually means from 100.01 USD to 199.99 USD.

Example- How to set the rule that 15 USD shipping will be charged on order subtotals from 100.01 USD to 199.99 USD:

Please note that the shipping options you set up in Zonos Dashboard are separate from what you have set up in your ecommerce platform. This is by design, as Zonos is unable to use platform shipping options to calculate the landed cost. Therefore, you need to recreate your international shipping options in Dashboard.
