Warehouse-to-local shipping rates

Zonos provides accurate shipping rates for warehouses shipping to local destinations within their own country. This feature allows you to manage multiple warehouses and quote shipping rates efficiently when shipping from a warehouse to a destination in the same country.

When a customer enters their shipping address at checkout, Zonos automatically detects if a warehouse is located in the same country as the shipping destination. If it is:

• The system will only quote shipping rates
• Duties and taxes will not be included in the calculation
• The shipment will be treated as a local shipment

This automatic detection helps streamline the checkout process and ensures accurate shipping quotes for your customers.

Getting started 

To enable warehouse-to-local shipping rates for your account:

1. Contact support@zonos.com or your account representative

2. Request access to the warehouse-to-local shipping rates feature

3. Ensure that you have your warehouse added in Locations in Shopify, and in the Fulfillment locations in the shipping zone.

4. In the Dashboard, enable the country and shipping service levels in the zone you want to use for warehouse-to-local shipping rates. See this doc for more information on managing shipping zones.

5. If you are printing labels in the Zonos Dashboard, make sure you have created a matching warehouse in Dashboard. This is required so the correct warehouse information is included on the label. See this doc for more information on creating warehouse locations.
